After navigating the rough courses of this insanely abnormal time, the residents will be able to go and spend Christmas with their families. We will drop residents off at the usual drop off points in Pietermaritsburg and Pinetown (8 December ) and King Shaka Airport in Durban (10 December). We have taken all necessary precautions and continue to follow the prescribed guidelines set out by the Department of Social Development for facilities such as ours. Please note the following:
- Residents will be picked up from the usual pick up points on the 7th of January 2021
- Residents will need to have been tested for COVID-19, and be in possession of a negative test report. (tested at least 3 days before return to Pevensey)
- Residents will not be accepted back from the holidays, even if in possession of a negative test result, if they have stayed for less than a 3 week period away from Pevensey
We still are getting a high number of Covid-19 new infection cases out there, and our concern for the health and safety for the residents remains very high, even as we release them for holidays. It is imperative that we all approach the festivities with a lot of care bearing in mind the responsibilities that lie upon us.
From all at Pevensey, may you all have a wonderful Christmas, and may 2021 turn out to be a kind and generous year.
