Our congratulations to the winner of the Raffle, and also congratulations to all who participated in this. The Chairman of the Management committee, Mr Ian Davies sent in the report below. Special thanks to him as well for his part in organising such a huge Prize for our Fete.

Mr Ian Davis (right) congratulated

Tarryn and Murray Turner, the happy winners being congratulated by Mr Ian Davies.

The Raffle for Pevensey Place for a Cruise, kindly donated by Mediterranean Shipping Company (Pty) Ltd (MSC) has been won by Mr Murray Turner.

Participants were asked to guess the number of toilet roll holders in a huge bag. The holders were saved by Mrs Rose Storm of the Workhouse so that she and her team can make hundreds of Christmas crackers which she generously sells for Pevensey Place.

The number of toilet roll holders in the bag was counted and audited by Barrowdale who are the accountants for Pevensey Place. Their certified number was 2851 and the winning number was 2850.

Pevensey Place wishes to thank everyone who participated. The amount raised for Pevensey was nearly R9 000.00

Mr Turner was about to go on holiday in Durban when he was told the happy news, so it was arranged that he would collect his prize directly from MSC in Durban.

Many thanks

Ian Davies

Chairman Pevensey Place
