Terms and Conditions 2024
I agree to the terms and conditions.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOLLOWS:
- Entries will only be processed once payment is confirmed.
- Registration will be held the day before the event at the UFA Sale yard on the Sani Pass Road in Underberg on Friday 15 November 2024 from 12h00 – 17h00. A briefing will follow immediately after registration.
- Fishing commences on Saturday 16 November 2024 at 5h30 and the dam closes at 16h30.
- The committee reserves the right to change the finishing time (weather dependent).
- Prize giving will be at the UFA Sale yard from 18h00.
- All contestants must be amateurs.
- Means of catching must be one wet line attached to a rod and reel.
- No angler may leave the fishing area (dam banks and area) during the tournament and then return later. You are welcome to only start later in the day at your discretion.
- Only artificial lures to be used.
- Video footage is only to be taken by the officials of the angler approaching the officials to confirm the tagged fish was caught. So make a noise to make sure we know you are coming!!!
- Fishing will be from shore, canoes & similar and boats with sneaker motor ONLY.

For other prizes (SEE POINT 22):a. Only live fish to be measured.b. Fish will be measured with the mouth closed, by the weighmaster only.c. All fish to be released immediately after weighing. NO FISH TO BE REMOVED.
- Any trout that is caught by mistake must be carefully released back into the dam. Any angler found with a trout out of water will be instantly disqualified.
- The wrist bands must be worn by all anglers at all times to avoid disqualification.
- The weighmasters’ decision is final.
- Each angler is to be acquainted with and adhere to the rules of the competition and private landowners. Failure of the above will result in immediate disqualification.
- The dam is kindly sponsored by a private landowner for this day ONLY.
- Please respect their property & privacy. No littering and be careful of irrigation pipes and equipment.
- No fires are allowed – the venue will have food and soft drinks for sale during the day.
- Respect & be considerate of your fellow anglers.
- The tagged fish wins the cash prize of R10,000. Both Adults and Juniors will compete for the overall 1st Prize – the tagged fish.
- There will be another prize for the largest Bass.
- Only adults can enter for the lucky draw prize. Junior anglers will each get a different prize.
- For the lucky draw, you need to hand in your wrist band.
- The Committee may, at its sole discretion, cancel the Bass 4 Cash Competition – a fundraiser for Pevensey Place – with or without notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
- There will be no refunds in the event that the competition is cancelled.
- As per the South African POPI Act 4 of 2013, by submitting this form you give consent to Pevensey Place to process all personal information supplied on this form as well as consent to use photographs taken at the event on their social media platforms and for future marketing opportunities. All information supplied, and photographs taken will be handled as per the Pevensey Place POPI policy.
